Advanced Training
Ideal for dogs that have completed Foundational Training
Do you want your dog to respond to commands off leash or retrieve specific items? Is there a combination of specific learned skills you want your dog to know?
Training for more advanced commands requires time and patience for your dog to achieve the customized behaviors that are important to your lifestyle.
Advanced Training takes your dog to the next level by increasing distractions, distance, duration and difficulty to their behavioral wellness training. This program prepares your dog to make these positive behaviors more reliable in distracting environments.
After completing Foundational Training , we recommend spending some time (1 – 2 months) strengthening the trust and communication between you and your dog with their newly acquired skills, before enrolling in Advanced Training.
Some common examples of advanced training include (but are not limited to):
- Heel, both on and off leash
- Off-leash training (walking, sit, down, recall)
- Retrieve/pick up and drop items
- Ring bell to go outside
- Ride in (boat, golf cart, airplane, etc…)
- Run along-side bicycle
