What training methods do they use?
Advanced Canine Development bases their training approach on positive/reward and motivational training techniques, the “Classical Conditioning” model, also known as “Pavlovian” or “respondent conditioning”. This involves developing conditioned or automatic reflexes to commands. For example, when the owner says “sit”, the dog automatically sits after proper conditioning. All dogs learn differently and gearing the training to the dog is always most effective.
Do you offer group classes?
No, Advanced Canine Development does not include group dog obedience classes specifically in their training packages options. After a large shift and client feedback of lackluster and puppy disasters at box store type group classes, we take the approach of training people and dogs individually then incorporating them into these highly distracting environments gradually at the level of the dogs and owner to achieve our results. These programs are designed to train dogs, socialize the dogs in the least stressful way possible and then incorporate them in public places surrounded by other dogs, people, smells, and sounds to reinforce obedience in various environments.
